Nortel CEO Mike Zafirovski will adorn the cover of the latest issue of Red Herring magazine. Here's part of Red Herring's e-mail promo:
"Mr. Zafirovski has street cred. He made a name for himself at Motorola by helping to deliver the successful RAZR phone. Plus, he's brought a team of devoted execs with him to Nortel. But will it be enough to save a company that just announced a yearly loss of $2.6-billion? Find out about his plan to re-energize Nortel in this week's Red Herring feature story, "Out of Hell", on newstands Monday."
To be fair, it should be pointed out that $2.4-billion of Nortel's $2.6-billion loss in 2005 was a charge to settle two class-action lawsuit.
